Damarcus Adisa

Damarcus Adisa is a results-oriented consultant with a unique mix of experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. He has worked with a wide range of companies, from technology startups to a global pharmaceutical corporation, he is adept at the strategic execution of business goals that maximize enterprise value.

Damarcus has also held leadership roles in numerous non-profit organizations, most notably as a Development and Recruitment Manager for Defy Ventures—a not-for-profit entity focused on employment, entrepreneurship, and character development training program for current and formerly incarcerated people.

As a Development and Recruitment Manager, he drafted and executed recruitment plans, designed comprehensive life-changing plans for prospective trainees in Defy’s Entrepreneur-in-Training (EIT) programs. Additionally, he fostered and maintained relationships with various government agencies and partnerships with nonprofit organizations to develop high-quality referrals to sustain a robust pipeline for Defy’s training programs. 
Damarcus has an innate entrepreneurial drive, and he is the founder and CEO of By Adisa Designs. He is also an independent consultant for SMP Global Consultants to conduct workshops for Manhattan-based minority business enterprises.

Damarcus is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and volunteers as a mentor with its national programs to include its Leadership and Development Institute. The goal of the program is to mentor young African-American and Latino men to provide them with educational enhancements, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and leadership training. He also serves on the Board of Directors for The House on Steven Avenue Fund Inc., a 501(c)3 organization committed to the advancement of underserved communities through initiatives geared toward youth enrichment, young adult job readiness, and economic support of families in need.                    
In his spare time, Damarcus enjoys reading and conducting extensive research on the topic of history, domestic and international. Damarcus holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Fort Valley State University.
